On The Money with Peter Hebert, “Permanently Disabling Congenital Condition Forces Rep. Anthony Weiner to Resign,” June 16, 2011

Filed under: Commentary — Peter Hebert @ 7:40 PM

A permanently disabling congenital condition known as idiota congressionalitis has forced Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-New York) to resign. During his resignation announcement, Weiner spoke on behalf of his neighbors in the ninth district of New York. The crowd in attendance – members of the press – cheered and called him a pervert as he spoke. One heckler demanded to know, “Are you more than seven inches?!” Weiner, ironically, thanked his mother and father “… for the values …” that carried him this far.

The now infamous case of tweeting his meet brought Weiner into the glare of the public spotlight when his tweets sent to Gennette Cordova, who then forwarded to others. Weiner, who is married to his pregnant wife Huma Abedin, initially denied that he had photographed himself while experiencing an erection and then Tweeted that unsolicited lewd photo to several women.

Typical, perhaps of early adolescent behavior, Weiner suffers from morally impaired judgment that lingered into adulthood. Doctors, who have examined Weiner, believe that his condition is permanent and therefore incurable since it has hardened into an advanced stage.

It is believed that those who suffer from idiota congressionalitis are like the scum in the water that tends to rise to the surface and are then exposed for what they are and thrown out.

Weiner claims that his meet tweet was just a joke. But, Cordova, Abedin, members of Congress, and the American people did not get the joke. The joke is on Weiner, because other photos of Weiner’s meat have surfaced. Weiner is rumored to be seeking protection under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Yes, Weiner is the joke of Washington, D.C. and the ninth district in New York. But, there is just one problem. It is not funny.

  1. And, you are not funny either, Peter.

The man has a diagnosable medical condition.

Many others have done much worse than Congressman Weiner.

One must wonder about people who judge others harshly.

Weiner’s undoing was lying about the situation.

He should have resigned right away.

    Weiner’s career may be over.

    That is very sad.

  2. David,

You have a point. At this moment in American history, however, there is a lot of jaded sarcasm out there. And, I admit that I suffer from that from time to time. But, I disagree with you on the point of it being a “very sad” note given Weiner’s resignation. There are over 300 million Americans, and we deserve better. Guys like Weiner who discredit the public trust, the office, their co-workers on Capitol Hill, and the American people are the PROBLEM with America’s loss of respect in our institutions. Frankly, I would like to see a restoration of trust in our institutions. Weiner’s resignation is a step forward in the right direction. I say good riddance. There is nothing “very sad” about that. I say may the door hit Weiner hard on the way out. Maybe CNN can hire Weiner as a back up to Eliot Spitzer.

    • Rumor has it that Weiner is going to run for president.
He has chosen attorney general Holder as his running mate.
Get your Weiner-Holder bumper stickers early, before they are all gone.

Larry Flynt Offers Weiner a Job

LOS ANGELES — Porn mogul Larry Flynt offered disgraced U.S. lawmaker Anthony Weiner a job Thursday, after the New York congressman resigned over a tawdry “sexting” scandal.

Hustler founder Flynt said he would pay Weiner, who posted pictures of his intimate anatomy to a number of women on Twitter, 20 percent more than what he earned in the House of Representatives.

  3. The back up to Spitzer is a funny comment. Maybe he’ll sub for Olbermann or Maddow . . .

Either way we need to get back on track: getting out of Afghanistan ASAP, getting out of Libya ASAP, pursuing peace in Palestine/Israel (the State of Jersalem), rebuilding Haiti, confronting Global Warming (Climate Change), saving Medicare, raising the Debt Ceiling, creating job programs, implementation of the ACA, and balancing the budget through revenue increases.
